Testimonials & Reviews - What people are saying about LUSH Pathways?
Thanks for an awesome trip and experience. I will definately be back to enjoy more of Brazil.
Alison J - New Zealand
My most vivid memory of Salvador was the night before the arranged carnival events. As the sun was going down, we could hear from our lovely pousada the drums in the distance. A group of us headed towards the old town to look for the Olodum drummers leading rows of dancers through the cobbled streets. Some seemed to know what there were doing, others not. So, we tagged along at the back, not worrying about the steps, just moving with the music. Everyone there was enjoying the moment. The atmosphere was magic, pure magic!

Day 1 Arrival Day in Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio at any time. Go for a walk on the famous Copacabana promenade to get a glimpse of the Marvellous City! Don’t miss the chance to join the football addicts cheering for their teams and be amazed by the atmosphere in the Olympic stadium. Welcome meeting @ 18hs.

Day 2 Free day in Rio de Janeiro
Optional activities include a City Tour that takes you to the main highlights of Rio, including Christ the Redeemer and the Sugar Loaf Mountain. You can also get to see the other side of Rio by joining a Favela Tour in Rocinha, one of the biggest slums in the world; Go hang Gliding from Pedra Bonita - 600m high or dance to the beats of Funk music – the local popular music from the outskirts of Rio.

Day 3-4 Paraty Bay and its Atlantic Forest
The Atlantic Forest is home to very lush vegetation, with a large diversity of plants and animals. We stay in Paraty, a World Heritage site. With its quaint cobblestone streets it is one of the world's best examples of Portuguese colonial architecture. The town is surrounded by a stunning bay and its islands and beaches are covered with Atlantic Forest. It’s the perfect place for an included boat trip. Paraty is also one of the greatest producers of cachaça, the drink used to prepare caipirinhas!

Day 5-6 São Paulo / night bus
A bus journey takes us to the biggest city in Brazil! São Paulo is one of the largest economic centres in Latin America and also the capital of culture, gastronomy, fashion, nightlife and is well known for the hospitality of its local people. There you will find Brazilians descended from more than 70 nationalities. Night bus to Campo Grande.

Day 7-8 The Pantanal wetlands
The Pantanal is the world's largest wetland. It lies mostly within the Brazilian territory but extends into portions of Bolivia and Paraguay, sprawling over an area estimated at between 150,000km2 to 180,000 km2. The Pantanal has an incredibly rich ecosystem and is home to a variety of bird species, fish, mammals, reptiles, invertebrates and countless species of fauna. Parts of the Pantanal are home to some endangered or threatened species such as the Blue Macaw, the Crowned Solitary Eagle, the Jaguar, the Manned Wolf, the South American Tapir and the Giant Anteater. Among the rarest animals to inhabit the area are the Marsh Deer and the Giant River Otter. Approximately 99% of the land in the Pantanal is privately owned for the purpose of agriculture and ranching. We stay in a lodge-fazenda to better experience this environment and do a variety of activities such as photographic safaris, nature walks and more.

Day 9-10-11 Bonito / night bus
Bonito, located in the Serra da Bodoquenha, is famous for its crystal clear waters and its large variety of fish, exuberant sub aquatic vegetation and wildlife. You have an included trip that takes you for small hikes and swimming in natural pools. You may want to go snorkelling in one of these crystal clear rivers, go tubing down the river, enjoy picturesque waterfalls or simply relax in one of those beautiful spots. On our last night, we take a night bus to Foz do Iguaçú.

Day 12-13 Iguassu Falls
Brazil and Argentina share the great Iguassu Falls, with estimated 275 waterfalls over an area of 3km, some over 80m (262.4 ft) in height. We visit the falls from the Brazilian and Argentinean sides. Options include a helicopter flight, bird park or a jet boat trip right to the base of some of the falls.

Day 14 Departure Day
You may choose to go back to Rio or if you plan on going to Argentina as well, we can help you to organize a night bus to Buenos Aires.
