Day 1 Arrival Day in Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio at any time. Go to the beach, sun bathe, watch people exercising or playing foot-volley in the sand, go shopping, drink acai or coconut water, go to the Botanical Gardens, jogging around Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas or hang Gliding from Pedra Bonita (600m high) for a breathtaking view!
Day 2 Free day in Rio de Janeiro
Optional activities include a City Tour that takes you to the main highlights of Rio, such as Christ the Redeemer and the Sugar Loaf Mountain. You can also get to see the other side of Rio by joining a Favela Tour in Rocinha, one of the biggest slums in the world.
Day 3-4 Paraty Bay and its Atlantic Forest
The Atlantic Forest is home to very lush vegetation, with a large diversity of plants and animals. You stay in Paraty, a World Heritage site. With its quaint cobblestone streets it is one of the world's best examples of Portuguese colonial architecture. The town is surrounded by a stunning bay and its islands and beaches are covered with Atlantic Forest. It’s the perfect place for a boat trip. Paraty is also one of the greatest producers of cachaça, the drink used to prepare caipirinhas!
Day 5-6 São Paulo / night bus
A bus journey takes you to the biggest city in Brazil! São Paulo is one of the largest economic centres in Latin America and also the capital of culture, gastronomy, fashion, nightlife and is well known for the hospitality of its local people. There you will find Brazilians descended from more than 70 nationalities. Night bus to Foz do Iguaçú.
Day 7-8 Iguassu Falls
Brazil and Argentina share the great Iguassu Falls, with estimated 275 waterfalls over an area of 3km, some over 80m (262.4 ft) in height. You will visit the falls from the Brazilian and Argentinean sides. Options include a helicopter flight, bird park or a jet boat trip right to the base of some of the falls.
Day 9 Departure Day
You may choose to go back to Rio or if you plan on going to Argentina as well, we can help you to organize a night bus to Buenos Aires.
