Testimonials & Reviews - What people are saying about LUSH Pathways?
I am back home and wanted to thank you for all your amazing help. I think you are wonderful! I had the best time in Brazil and my portuguese has improved by about 40% which I am so excited about. I met so many wonderful people and really wish I can return to Brazil at least once a year each and every single year of my life. I love the Brazilian culture and I feel so connected to it as a Latin female. I hope we can see each other in the near future. With much appreciation,
Lida R - United States

RIO CARNIVAL 2013 - From 8th to 13rd February 2013

In Rio de Janeiro, the samba schools lead the famous Sambadrome Parade in a frenzy of colour, action and emotion that is broadcast live to Brazilian states and to several countries. Smaller parades called "blocos" are held on the streets during Carnival week. These marches are a lot of fun, free, and happen all over the city. Everyone is welcome to participate! There are also many Carnival Balls at night with live music and the samba drumming that is loudly contagious!

Rio's Sambadrome is considered the greatest stage on Earth and delights more than 80 thousand spectators. We offer the chance for you to experience the Sambadrome Parade completely! We provide you with the unique chance of becoming part of the show and performing in a full costume with other Carnival participants in the Sambadrome Parade!

You'll perform in one of the most famous Samba Schools, parading on Saturday night and will be part of an "ala" (wing), with a group of more than 70 people dressed in the same costume. There’s no age limit and no specials skills are required apart from your enthusiasm and excitement. You shall parade along the Sambadrome for about 40 minutes and simply follow the instructions given by the ala's coordinators.

You’ll also sing and dance with the beat of the drums at the Sambadrome Parade of the Special Group on Sunday or Monday night. This way you will also get to watch all the samba schools parading that night and have a great view (from the grandstand) of all the colours and impressive floats and see every detail that each samba school has elaborately prepared and choreographed with desire and determination to win one of the most exciting competitions in the world.

Our Carnival Costume is for the Access Group Parade on Saturday, February 9th
This Costume serves as your "ticket" to parade with the Samba School. You simply make your booking and we'll get back to you with a 'Costume Size Table' so that you can tell us your sizes. You will also be informed about details of the times and the ala's name (wing postion).

We’ll meet on Saturday morning (place and time to be advised), when you will collect your Carnival Costume and ticket!

On Saturday night you'll have one of the best experiences of your lifetime by dressing in a costume and performing with other Carnival participants in the Sambadrome Parade! Feel the happiness and emotion growing inside you as you dance along the walkway of the Sambadrome, lit by the lights of glory and carried by the contagious sound of the drums. Joining a Samba School is the best way to feel the passion behind Rio’s Carnival Parade.

On Sunday or Monday night, you'll watch one of the most exciting spectacles/competitions on Earth, Rio’s Sambadrome Parade! You will get to watch the entire show with the most famous samba schools parading that day and see their colourful participants dancing and singing, the magnificent art of the floats and feel the vibrating beats of the drums…a performance that each samba school has elaborately prepared and choreographed in order to win this competition.

Tuesday is the last night of your Rio Carnival experience. Join a street “bloco” or go to the famous Gay Ball Parade.

City tours, favela tours, or a football game can also be organised. Talk to us about organizing these optional activities!
